Thickness Planer Reviews

The key to buying the best benchtop planer or comparing that to a top rated full sized wood planer is to understand what options are available across the market, then understanding what you reallly think you are going to use it for, both in quantity and capacity and then matching that to your bank account (the ultimate control question overwise we'd all just buy the best, most expensive model :)

Remember the best benchtop planer for clients that make infrequent thin pieces for violin building, may NOT be the totally right choice for a real serious woodworker that needs to mill rough lumber on a daily basis. That's why you can't always just take online advice unless you know the editor is working in a similar way and environment to yourself.

So start with the links below to review the features of various top rated wood planers, then have a real serious talk with yourself about need and budget. Have fun.
